COVID-19

Symptoms of COVID-19

COVID-19 symptoms are similar to influenza and other respiratory illnesses. Symptoms of COVID-19 may not show for up to 14 days after exposure and may be difficult to detect because they are similar to having a cold or the flu.

Symptoms of COVID-19 have included:

  • cough
  • fever
  • difficulty breathing
  • pneumonia in both lungs
  • sneezing
  • sore throat

Symptoms range from mild – like the flu and other common respiratory infections – to severe.

If you think you have symptoms of COVID-19 you can take a Self Assessment Test. Health Canada has created a tool that incorporates both national and provincial specific COVID-19 self assessment tools.
